Aliso Viejo News For Fourth Of July

Date:

Celebrate July 4th at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center where everyone will get in for $3. The facility, which is flanked by the picturesque golf course and Aliso Viejo Conference Center, will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and feature recreational swim and music throughout the day. The facility is located at 29 Santa Barbara Drive near Golf Drive and Glenwood.

After a fun-filled day at the pool, head over to Grand Park for the Aliso Viejo Community Association’s annual July 4th bash from 6 to 9:30 p.m. in the Aliso Viejo Town Center on Aliso Creek Road. The event features live entertainment, bounce houses, face painting, games, food for purchase and a spectacular fireworks show.

While you are there, be sure to check out the city’s new Multimedia Public Information Trailer that will be parked next to the park on Grand Avenue from about 3 to 7 p.m. The dynamic trailer is being used as part of an extensive public outreach effort the city is launching to garner community input about the Aliso Viejo Ranch and gain community consensus for the best use for this 7-acre parcel at 100 Park Avenue. Residents can stop by to learn more about the “Revisit the Ranch” campaign and provide input.

The city of Aliso Viejo’s annual summer walking program takes step on Monday, July 6.

The program, which takes place consecutive Mondays through July 27, is meant to promote healthy lifestyles and Aliso Viejo’s “walkable community.

The walk takes folks on the 3-mile Aliso Viejo Loop Trail, which essentially loops around Town Center.  Participants meet at 5:50 p.m. in front of Walgreens at 26531 Aliso Creek Road before taking off at 6 p.m.

Sponsored by the city and Walgreens, the program is a great opportunity for people to exercise and make new friends.
