Dogfight, a Musical About Cruelty and Hope
The Department of Theatre Arts at Saddleback presents Dogfight, music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Book by Peter Duchan, and based on the Warner Bros. film and screenplay by Bob Comfort.
A young soldier learns the power of compassion when he plays a cruel joke on an unsuspecting girl. Directed by Hal Landon, Jr. with musical direction by Lex Leigh, this hauntingly beautiful musical was praised by countless critics and nominated for numerous awards and won the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical. Based on the 1991 Warner Brothers film, Dogfight takes audiences on a romantic and heartbreaking theatrical journey that stays with you long after the performance.
Dogfight takes place in the Studio Theatre at Saddleback College on October 16, 17, 20, 21,22, 23, 24 at 7:30 p.m. and October 18, 25 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling (949) 582-4656 (noon-4:00 p.m., Tuesday-Friday) and online at www.saddleback.edu/arts. Prices are $15 general; $12 seniors; $10 students.
The Department of Theatre Arts program at Saddleback College produces several fully-staged shows each year. All students are given the opportunity to audition for every production yet Theatre Arts students are given priority in the casting process. In addition there are numerous opportunities for students to contribute in backstage activities through the Entertainment and Theater Technology program.

Take Avery Parkway to Marguerite Parkway turn left to the third traffic light, which is Saddleback’s Marguerite entrance. Turn right into the campus and take the third left to Theatre Circle, turning right into Lot 12.
