Holiday Lights Viewing Party at the Ocean Institute
Celebrate the holidays with the Ocean Institute at the Annual Holiday Lights Viewing Party for the Dana Point Harbor Boat Parade of Lights on Friday, Dec. 11, 6:30 – 9 p.m. 2015. This year’s Boat Parade of Lights theme is “A Galactic Holiday.” Guests are invited to view the parade from our one-of-a-kind setting that only the Ocean Institute can provide!
Drink hot cocoa with Santa (served in a take-home souvenir mug), build your own Lightsaber, celebrate the “Galactic Holiday” theme in costume, decorate cookies, make an ornament and have your photo taken in our photo booth.
Cost is $15. (Members: $12 adults, $9 children (under 3 free).) Register online at http://www.ocean-institute.org/programs/parade.html or for additional information call (949) 496-2274.
The Ocean Institute is a non-profit organization which seeks to demystify the world of science, empower children to become tomorrow’s scientific leaders, and deepen society’s appreciation of how the ocean and science impact our lives. Established in 1977, the Ocean Institute uses the mystery and allure of the ocean to inspire 115,000 students per year with more than 60 award-winning ocean science and maritime history programs. We’re located in Dana Point Harbor alongside the tide pools of a Marine Conservation Area, and we use the ocean as the classroom to inspire students of all ages to learn. We’re open to the general public.
