Allie Riiska

Allie Riiska of Laguna Niguel, a senior at Dana Hills High School, organized a successful recruiting event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County at her high school on February 24. Allie is co-president of Club Rush, which recruits new volunteers on campus. Forty students expressed an interest in volunteering to serve as a mentor at one of three south Orange County sites: Kinoshita Elementary School in San Juan Capistrano, RH Dana Elementary School in Dana Point and the Capistrano Valley Boys & Girls Club in San Juan Capistrano. Allie has served as a Big Sister since 2008; she is currently matched to 4th grader Erika at Kinoshita Elementary. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County matches mentors to children in need. More donors and volunteers are always needed; visit www.bigbrooc.org or call (714) 544-7773.
