Student Approached By Stranger - Carl Hankey School

Permalink 03/30/10 17:52, by Susan Espenschied, Categories: News, Schools

Hello Hankey Families and Hawks,

Yesterday, one of our students was approached by a stranger. Feeling uncomfortable about being approached by the stranger, the student immediately reported the situation. School authorities followed through with reporting the situation to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and an investigation lead to an arrest.

Thankfully, the student involved in this situation is safe and followed through promptly and responsibly in reporting this uncomfortable situation to a trusted adult as soon as possible.

We encourage you to talk to your own children about “Stranger Danger”. You can review tips on educating your children about stranger danger by visiting: www.mcgruff.org and clicking on the link for parents and educators.

Go Hawks!
