City Of Laguna Niguel

For the past several years, the City of Laguna Niguel and the County of Orange have been working on a joint venture to completely renovate and expand the Laguna Niguel Library. On Tuesday night, the project moved one step closer to becoming a reality when the City Council approved the low responsible bidder and authorized the County to proceed with the award of a construction contract. Seventeen (17) bids were received ranging from $3,159,000 to $4,399,000. The lowest responsible bidder was SMC Construction in the amount of $3,159,000.

The project will include an approximate 3,810 square foot addition to the existing 10,500 square foot building, extensive interior remodeling and exterior redesign to complement the architectural design of the new City Hall.
