Easter Seals’ 13th Annual “Walk With Me” Southern California Brings Community Together for People with Disabilities
Run, walk, stroll or roll…but don't miss Easter Seals Southern California’s Walk With Me! This family-friendly event – which includes a 2k walk and a timed 5k run – supporting local children and adults living with autism and other disabilities steps off Saturday, November 2nd at Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and the program begins at 8:30 a.m.
All registered walkers will enjoy free refreshments, music and entertainment for the whole family. Kids of all ages will enjoy The Aquarium on Wheels mobile tide pool exhibit where you can feel a spiny sea star, touch a slippery sea cucumber, and experience the rough texture skin of a shark. There will also be opportunity drawings for tickets to Universal Studios, Six Flags, Aquarium of the Pacific, and more.
Walk With Me is presented locally by national sponsors CVS, Amway, Century 21 and Mass Mutual, and local sponsors Fraternal Order of Police, US Bank, Aquarium of the Pacific, Medical Specialties Managers, Inc., Jackson Jade Speech, Occupational & Physical Therapy, RoadID, and Dasani as official water sponsor. These corporate partners unite to bring the community together with kids and adults with disabilities who have increased their independence through Easter Seals services. Last year, Walk With Me raised $357,754 that directly benefited SoCal residents with disabilities.
