Construction is underway on the splash pad at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center, a city facility flanked by the golf course and Aliso Viejo Conference Center. The splash pad first opened to the public in 2009 when the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center at 29 Santa Barbara Drive made its debut.
The city work will improve the splash pad and nearby toddler pool for the community that can now enjoy the Aquatic Center year-round. Construction is expected to be finished within the next three weeks.
The Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center offers lap and recreational swim along with fee-based swim programs, a year-round swim team and new adult classes like Frogman and Aqua Zumba.

One travel lane in each direction of Aliso Creek Road is expected to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and traffic delays are expected. Alternate routes are encouraged.
