PTSA Back To School Night Classroom Supply Drive Tuesday, September 24 Don’t come to BTSN empty handed…Please support Dana Hills classrooms with much needed supplies. Look for the PTSA Supply Drive table across from the office as you walk in and drop off your donations. No donation is too small. If you don’t have time to shop grab a roll of paper towels or a box of Kleenex! Every little bit helps our classrooms and students! Most Needed Items: KLEENEX, HAND SANITIZERS, PAPER TOWELS, DRY ERASE MARKERS, LINED PAPER, PENCILS, MARKERS and CLEANING/ CLORIX WIPES.

Donna Schwarm PTSA BTSN Supply Drive Chair PTSA News Plastic Bottles and Aluminum Cans Community Recycling Drive Saturday, September 21 Please bring your plastic bottles and aluminum cans to DHHS Saturday, September, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. and help raise funds for our school. Please spread the word to family, friends and neighbors! Location: DHHS back parking lot near the tennis courts and pool.

EARN SCHOOL HOURS! Beginning Saturday, September 21, students may work the Saturday community plastic bottles and aluminum cans recycling events. You must sign up in advance on the Saturday recycling sheet outside Mrs. Coghill’s classroom, Room 610.
You may only work a maximum of 5 hours recycling per semester. Saturday dates include: October 5 &19 November 2 & 16 December 14 January 11 & 25 February 8 & 22 March 8 & 22 April 5 & 26 May 10 & 31 June 14 —————————————————————————————————
How would you score on the SAT? Come find out! Are you taking the October SAT? Kaplan Test Prep will be offering a full-length SAT test practice test on Saturday, September 21, 9:00 – 1:30 (please arrive by 8:45). Cost is a $20.00 donation benefiting the DHHS PTSA. Location: DHHS 900 Portables. Following the test, a Score Giveback/SAT Test Strategies Workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 1 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Porthole Theater. SAT Prep Boot Camps at Dana Hills High! One-day programs September 28 and 29 to prep for the October SAT or PSAT. DB Academics will host SAT boot camps as a PTSA fundraiser designed to provide students with the best test-taking strategies, techniques and problem solving approaches. Students will become more confident test-takers and will learn: –test layout and scoring –most frequently tested concepts –how to analyze answer choices to effectively eliminate incorrect answers –when to guess –how to identify and approach tricky questions –how to avoid common mistakes that students make On the math side, students will work on problems that are appropriate for their skill level. Boot Camp A Saturday, September 28 Math 9 – 11am English 11:30am – 4pm With a 30 minute break Boot Camp B Sunday, September 29 Math 9-11am English 11:30am – 4pm With a 30 minute break Cost English and Math $135 English only $99 Math only $50 SAT Prep After Boot Camp Program A two-day workshop on Sunday, October 6 and Sunday, October 13 designed as an extension of the one-day Boot Camp Program above. It is ideal for students who have taken the Boot Camp and want a little more prep and practice.
