National Dance Day 2018 – July 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM – Free – No Tickets Required

Date:

“Dance is for everybody and BODY!”

For the first time, Dizzy Feet Foundation partners with Segerstrom Center for the Arts for the exclusive West Coast celebration of National Dance Day!

This FREE community event is for all ages and all abilities! Launched in 2010 by The Dizzy Feet Foundation (co-founded by So You Think You Can Dance’s Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman) and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, National Dance Day encourages everyone to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health. The celebration of all things dance begins at 1:00 pm at the Center’s new Julianne and George Argyros Plaza. The day will feature live performances by special guest artists, offer fully inclusive and interactive dance lessons in a wide variety of dance styles, food for purchase, plus provide the opportunity to learn this year’s official National Dance Day routine led by So You Think You Can Dance All-Star, Allison Holker. This year’s National Dance Day routine was created by Emmy Award-winning choreographer Mandy Moore to Kylie Minogue’s song, “Dancing.” The video features Dancing With the Stars troupe members Britt Stewart, Morgan Larson and Hayley Erbert along with Season 13 So You Think You Can Dance winner, Kida Burns and Season 11 contestant Nick Garcia, as well as The Rollettes founder Chelsie Hill.

It’s time to join the #DanceMadeMeDoit challenge! Put your own spin on the National Dance Day 2018 routine and share it with family and friends on social media using #DanceMadeMeDoit. Don’t forget Dance is for everybody and Every Body!
