On November 13, 2015, the Saddleback Speech and Debate Team competed at the Ray Dahlin Tournament at Palomar College in San Marcos, California. Colleges and universities competing include: Arizona State University, Biola University, El Paso Community College, Northern Arizona University, Point Loma, San Diego State, and University of Texas at Austin.

- Alexander Perkins (San Clemente)–Top Novice in Prose Interpretation
- Rayanna McBride (San Clemente)-2nd Place in Senior After Dinner Speaking
- Bianca Ruffino (Dana Point)–5th Place in Senior Persuasive Speaking
- Nikki Friedman (San Clemente)–4th Place in Senior Persuasive Speaking
On November 16th, the Speech and Debate Team competed in the Grossmont Tournament at Grossmont College in El Cajon, California. Colleges and universities competing include: Arizona State University, Azusa Pacific University, Biola University, Grossmont College, Irvine Valley College and Cerritos College.

- Brian Fox (Irvine)-3rd Speaker Overall in Junior Parliamentary Debate
The team was led this weekend by Co-director Heidi Ochoa and coaches Mark Dorrough, Aaron Fullman, and Angelica Grisby. Heidi Ochoa stated “This tournament was highly competitive as it attracted four-year institutions with strong acting and rhetoric programs. We are proud that our students held their own against students who are not only from strong institutions, but are in their fourth year of competition.”
The Saddleback Forensics Team started in the 1970s and prides itself on offering students the ability to create innovative arguments for future writing and speaking engagements to strengthen their critical thinking skills and to better communicate with others. On the forensics team, students write, rehearse, and perform at 6-7 tournaments against students from Universities and Community Colleges to qualify for the national tournament. The students representing Saddleback at the national tournament have placed above several competitors representing institutions throughout the year, including: Concordia University, Point Loma, California State University, Los Angeles, California State University, Long Beach, and UCLA.
