The city of Aliso Viejo is gearing up for its 15th anniversary party on Saturday, July 2, with a special community event that will feature activities and fun for all ages.
The free celebration is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center and includes bounce houses, family games and activities. Free In-N-Out burgers will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a birthday cake will be cut at noon.
The party will also feature the Aquadettes, an extraordinary group of senior women who perform synchronized swimming routines.
Based locally, the women work year-round and train three times a week to put on an annual water show.
Their talents have led to appearances in commercials and on CNN; “Today Show”; “NBC Nightly News”; “Inside Edition” and others. They have been in magazine and newspaper articles throughout the world and were also featured in a full-color National Geographic Magazine article exploring current research on aging.
This amazing group will demonstrate that age is just a number when they perform throughout the day.
Community members are invited to savor the City’s milestone anniversary. For more information, call 949-425-2550 or visit http://www.cityofalisoviejo.com.
