The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach’s Art Program is holding their annual Art & Nature Show starting November 3rd and will run through November 11th at the Club’s Art Room at Canyon Branch.
The show will be an installation of art made by Club Members all revolving around the subject of nature. All types of art will be displayed: sculptures, photography, illustration, painting, mixed media, ceramics, digital arts, just to name a few.
The Club works in partnership with the Laguna Art Museum who originated the idea of showcasing an Art & Nature show exhibit. They encouraged local organizations in the surrounding areas to participate in having their own Art & Nature Show, and that’s what the Club’s Art Director, Karla Fandel did.
Karla was truly inspired by the Laguna Art Museum’s exhibit, that she started her own Art & Nature Show with the Club Members three years ago. “The kids that attend the art program at the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach love the idea of combining nature and art!”, said Karla Fandel. She adds, “I believe our members who are participating in creating this year’s exhibit, really get a better understanding of the culture and art of Laguna Beach .”
