The Laguna Beach Alliance for the Arts (LBaa) announces award-winning actor Joe Mantegna, to deliver the keynote speech at the 9th Annual Art Star Awards to be held on Sunday, April 12 in Laguna Beach at 6 p.m

Date:

Joe Mantegna to Deliver Keynote at Art Stars Award

As the keynote speaker, Mantegna will share stories about his successful and diverse career. During the event in true Academy Award style, awards in seven categories will be presented to organizations, businesses and individuals who shaped and contributed to the community’s arts and culture in Laguna Beach this last year.

Additionally, the winner of the $5,000 [seven-degrees] of Inspiration Grant will be announced and last year’s grant winner artist Cheryl Ekstrom will present her resulting and innovative project.  Tickets are available at $85 per person and may be purchased by contacting information@lagunabeacharts.com.

With over 100 films like Searching for Bobby Fischer, The Godfather Part 3, Celebrity, Forget Paris and Liberty Heights to name a few, Joe has proven his versatility as an actor and his passion for the art.

Joe is no stranger to television either. Whether it’s an award-winning TV movie like, The Rat Pack or The Last Don, or a critically acclaimed series like Joan of Arcadia, The Starter Wife, or currently as the star of the long running hit show Criminal Minds, it seems like it’s hard not to turn on the TV and see Joe.

For the past 25 years, he has lent his voice talents to The Simpsons television series. Besides winning a Tony Award on Broadway, Mantegna has been nominated for Emmy and Golden Globe Awards, and in April 2011 received his own star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Celebrating 40 years in show business, Mantegna shows no signs of slowing down.

“No doubt, this is going to be a great evening,” remarked Art Stars Chairman Wayne Baglin. “What an incredible honor it is to have Joe Mantegna as the keynote speaker at this year’s Art Star Awards.”

Don’t miss this evening of Hollywood glitz and glamour Laguna style! Tickets $85 (includes dinner). To purchase tickets, please contact information@lagunabeacharts.com. The event will be held at [seven- degrees] located at 891 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, California.
