The Department of Theatre Arts is thrilled to bring live performances to Saddleback College outside on the upper campus quad in July. Audience members of all ages will enjoy summer evening entertainment under the stars.
On Friday and Saturday, July 21st and 22nd, a fully-staged production of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man, Book, Music and Lyrics by Meredith Willson, and story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey will grace the outdoor stage.
Directed by Natalie Baldwin, the story features a fast-talking traveling salesman who cons the citizens of River City into paying him to create a boys’ marching band, but his scheme flops when he falls for Marian the Librarian. The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. with festival seating at 5:30 p.m. For more detailed information, go to www.saddleback.edu/arts/summer-theatre. Admission is free!
