“The Tomato Guy” – to Host Free Workshop at Coastkeeper Garden

The Coastkeeper Garden is teaming up with local tomato expert, Dave Freed – “The Tomato Guy,” for a FREE informative workshop on unique planting, self-watering and pollination techniques to substantially increase your garden’s harvest. Join us on Saturday, February 1, to learn how to grow tomatoes and other vegetables easily and sustainably, how to use self-watering containers as a foolproof way to water all your garden vegetables, basic watering techniques that can be applied to containers, backyard soil and raised beds; and, techniques to help pollinate your vegetable plants and improve your vegetable production.

COASTKEEPER GARDEN: The Coastkeeper Garden is a non-profit community demonstration garden located adjacent to Santiago Canyon College in the City of Orange. Visiting the Garden is free of charge and visitors can wander through the 2.5 acres while viewing and learning about water-wise plants, pollinators, and environmentally-friendly gardening ideas. There is also a Natural Playground for the kids! Get directions.
