Grand Opening Activities Raise Funds to Benefit Fit2BeKids
Urban Plates – a contemporary restaurant concept combining the freshness and variety of a food marketplace with fine-dining culinary integrity – announces the opening of its 12th restaurant today at Aliso Viejo Town Center, 26661 Aliso Creek Road, in Aliso Viejo, California.
“At Urban Plates, we take no shortcuts to provide delicious and nourishing meal options for lunch and dinner, and we’re thrilled to bring the concept to Aliso Viejo,” said Chef Matt Renstrom. “Our ‘seeing is believing’ approach allows guests to choose good food and feel good about it. A vibrant display of fresh food greets guests, with hot and chilled selections at each station of the restaurant’s line-style layout. Guests interact with chefs behind the line who prepare plates while answering questions about ingredients and sources.
With an emphasis on high-quality ingredients at an affordable price,Urban Plates serves complete plates, salads, hand-carved sandwiches, seasonal braises, soups, and decadent desserts. Beverages include organic house-made natural juice Replenishers, Kombucha on tap, and regional craft beers and wines.
Chic, rustic indoor-outdoor dining space features comfortable seating and communal tables for couples, families and groups. Take-out ordering and catering are available online or by phone, with local delivery via DoorDash.
The Aliso Viejo opening will unveil Urban Plates’ summer menu, featuring flavorful seasonal ingredients and recipes including a slow-cooked green curry-coconut vegetable braise; chilled tomato and cucumber couscous side; hot roasted organic summer squash side; and a strawberry basil lemonade Replenisher.
Urban Plates is dedicated to supporting local communities through charitable contributions. The Aliso Viejo location has partnered with non-profit Fit2BeKids in Aliso Viejo and will raise donations during special grand opening events. Fit2BeKids empowers children and their families to lead healthier, wholesome lives through programming aligning with the fundamental principles of the seven dimensions of wellness: Physical/Nutritional, Social, Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, Environmental and Community/Occupational.
Menu prices begin at: $12 for a Plated Meal with two sides and grilled rustic bread; $9 for Hand-Tossed Salads and Hand-Carved Sandwiches; and $11 for Seasonal Slow-Cooked Braises. Kids Meals start at $7.
The hours of operation in Aliso Viejo are Sunday-Thursday 11am – 9:30pm and Friday-Saturday 11am – 10pm.
