Christian Barnett
The rising star to watch for in Orange County.
The 13-year-old boy, Christian Barnett, a Laguna Niguel resident, finished the Los Angeles marathon in less than 4 hours (bib # 24178). That is great news alone, but Christian started running only 6 months ago!
Plus, he just moved from Russia in September of 2009 and has been facing the cultural challenges. Despite his limited English language, he was welcomed aboard the Niguel Hills Middle School “SRLA” (Students Run LA) team and started training with them.
Nobody can resist this adorable teenager who always has a huge smile on his face.
Christian is adjusting great in this country and at his school. He realized early on that he has to work hard in order to succeed; he is also on the Principal’s Honor Roll for his academic achievements.
When he has free time, Christian loves joining his father, Richard Barnett on the motorcycles at the race track.
