2014 Aliso Viejo Mayor Phil Tsunoda will be sworn in and Council Member Carmen Cave recognized for her contributions as mayor last year during the City Council's Jan. 8 meeting

New Mayor swearing-in ceremony, outgoing Mayor to be feted at January 8 Aliso Viejo Council meeting

Befitting and an acknowledgement to their leadership roles, Aliso Niguel High School Associated Student Body President Alec Ferreira, senior class president Kyle Koivuniemi, junior class president Sarah Zia, sophomore class president Callie Ferreira, and freshman class president Quinn Darling will officiate the ceremonial Oath of Office swearing-in to Tsunoda at the first Aliso Viejo City Council meeting of the new year.

In addition, certificates of recognition from several south Orange County legislative elected officials will be presented to Cave as well as a gavel plaque and other tokens of appreciation for her service in 2013.

The meeting will also include Tsunoda’s 2014 “Mayor’s Message,” which will highlight his goals and thoughts for the upcoming year.

The City Council meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Aliso Viejo City Hall, 12 Journey.  The public is always welcome to attend.
