On behalf of the Board of Directors of the South Orange County Regional Chambers of Commerce, I am pleased to announce some exciting enhancements to your Chamber membership that will help you grow your business during these challenging times.
On August 26, the Board of Directors unanimously approved a plan that restructures and streamlines the Chamber’s internal operations and governance structure.
What does this mean to you?
This new model allows us to re-focus our organizational resources to enhance the services and programming that you, our members, say you need the most:
· regional networking opportunities to help you expand your business contacts
· exclusive member discounts – everything from shipping and office supplies to payroll services – to help you manage your costs
· enhanced member education programs and Webinars to help you manage your company more effectively and efficiently, and keep you one step ahead of the competition
· stronger advocacy to better represent your interests on issues being considered by city, state and local governments
Look for more specifics in the coming months. In the meantime, we want to hear from you!
In the next few weeks, you will receive a survey in your e-mail inbox. It’s just the first of many feedback opportunities you’ll have to tell us how we can we can better serve you. This survey tool will allow us to learn, among other things:
· which Chamber products, services and discount programs would most likely benefit you
· which Chamber events you would find most valuable, as well as most convenient times and locations
· which issues at the local, state or federal levels are impacting you right now
· other ways we can help you grow your business
We hope you will take some time out of your busy schedule to complete the first survey when it arrives and help us learn how we can provide the best possible return on your Chamber investment.
In order to survive today’s challenging environment, “business as usual” won’t cut it. As owners and managers, we must continuously evolve in order to grow our businesses. Same goes for the Chamber. In order for you, our member, to feel like you’re getting the most “bang for your Chamber dues buck,” you need more tangible Chamber benefits that directly impact your bottom line. That’s why the board was united in support of this restructure.
Again, we will be sure to keep you up to date as the Chamber’s transition proceeds, and as new services and programs come on line. In the meantime, we invite you to contact us with any questions about the Chamber’s new direction by contacting Barbara Thomas, the Chamber’s Management Consultant, at (949) 635-1638 or barbara@socchambers.com
Thank you for your continued membership in the South Orange County Regional Chambers of Commerce.
