PEP4U Administrative Assistant Job Description
Seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant for a small non-profit organization in South Orange County. The organization – PEP4U (Parkinson’s Exercise Program for You) offers free exercise/wellness classes to people with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners.
Duties and responsibilities include providing basic administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the organization. Supports Steering Committee members through a variety of tasks related to the organization. The position requires the ability to work from home.
Approximate time/week: 10 hours
Salary: $20 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Maintain participant records
- Update participant records in google contacts
- Adjust online Google calendar
- Website – upload/change content as needed
- Manage communications via e-mail, phone and in writing as well as disseminate information to current and potential new members
- Stop by the Laguna Niguel YMCA once a week to check on class supplies and files and to collect and process donations
- Make copies of checks and invoices as needed
- Assist in planning special events & celebrations as needed
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Access to computer, printer/copy machine, and the Internet
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of Google contacts, email, website maintenance
- Ability to effectively communicate via phone, email and in writing
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Willingness to work with volunteers and people of different ages and abilities
