Dana Point Harbor Partners Announce Award Winners

Dana Point Harbor celebrated the holidays with a “tiki takeover” during the 45th Annual Boat Parade of Lights on December 6, 7, 13 and 14. Families enjoyed festive tiki-themed activities and live entertainment, restaurant offerings, visits with Santa, and the famous parade of local boats adorned with elaborate lights and tiki-themed decorations.

New this Year, boat parade participants were eligible to win cash prizes across several award categories, thanks to Dana Point Harbor Partners. This year’s tiki-tastic line up of award categories included best overall, best use of theme, most original, best lights/music, Mayor’s cup, Supervisor’s cup and more. Also new this year, a $1,000 donation was awarded to a charity of choice of the yacht club with the most entries in the 45th Annual Boat Parade between Dana West Yacht Club and Dana Point Yacht Club. All award winners received cash prizes, with a total distribution of over $10,000 courtesy of Dana Point Harbor Partners.

The 46th Annual Boat Parade of Lights will take place Wednesday, December 9 through Saturday, December 12, 2020. The theme for this new, four-day parade will be “fiesta.” Dana Point Harbor Partners look forward to continuing this Dana Point holiday tradition in 2020 and beyond.
