Art of Cooking Series features Laguna Beach Chef on July 28 from 1 – 2pm
Learn to create delicious dishes with Broadway Chef Amar Santana at the Festival of Arts Sunday, July 28 from 1 – 2pm. As part of the 2013 Art of Cooking series, he will demonstrate step-by-step some of his favorite recipes and share samples of his finished creations with the audience.
Chef Amar Santana is one of Orange County’s hottest rising stars after opening his widely successful flagship restaurant, Broadway By Amar Santana in Laguna Beach last year. His globally influenced menu includes unexpected flavor profiles and artful presentations, reflecting his zeal for food and for life. Santana attributes his success as a direct result of ambition, drive, passion, and modestly, extraordinary talent. Prior to opening his first restaurant, he served as Sous Chef at Aureole in New York and Executive Chef for Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza.
The menu at Broadway by Amar Santana is inspired by the creativity of Santana and his version of Modern Cuisine of The Americas. It features top quality ingredients, with a focus on local farms who can provide the menu’s seasonal requirements. Santana will personally create and prepare a multiple course menu, to those guests that chose to be adventurous with their cuisine.
“Chef Amar is a young and innovative new chef,” said Susan Davis, director of special events for the Festival of Arts. “We’re very excited to see what he’ll prepares for us on July 28, which, without a doubt, will be delicious!”
