WonderGrove, LLC debuted its Mobile Education Initiative at the 12th annual Festival of Children in Costa Mesa, California. An extension of the company’s education website WonderGroveKids.com, this initiative allows children the unique opportunity to speak with animated characters in real time, creating an interactive and engaging learning experience.
“Children form an emotional attachment with characters when they watch animation” says WonderGrove Kids Co-Founder, Terry Thoren. “What makes us unique is that our animated characters actually talk to a child in real time. Children form an immediate bond with our characters, and listen 100% to the lessons we convey.”
WonderGrove is solidly aligned with the core intent of the Festival of Children Foundation, whose mission is to improve the lives of children by strengthening the charities that serve them.

ABOUT WONDERGROVE
WonderGrove Kids is a web based teaching initiative whose mission is to inspire every child to realize his or her full potential before third grade.
The WonderGrove Kids education initiative provides parents and teachers with a well-rounded selection of instructional animations to help children prepare for the daily challenges of life both inside and outside of school. It is available in English and Spanish and is designed to cover six critical areas of early learning that impact a child’s ability to succeed. These areas of learning include: Citizenship, Life Skills, Health, Safety, Nutrition and Fitness.
WonderGrove Kids features four animated seven year olds, Chris, Dee, Maria and Peter, who model good behavior and correct complicated behaviors in clever ways to connect with children in a profound way. These engaging, animated characters are featured in 100 instructional animated stories and 2000 extension lesson plans for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2ndGrade, that are aligned with the Federal Common Core Standards.
WonderGrove Kids allows children to form an emotional attachment with the animated characters that they come to know and love. The motivating lessons are specially written so children will stumble into learning while they enjoy each teaching exercise.
WonderGrove Kids offers the first and only animated episodes supported by SymbolStix assistive captions, specifically designed for students with learning challenges. WonderGrove Kids also offers all of the episodes with sign language by Signing Savvy, used specifically for students who are hard of hearing or deaf. Incorporating symbol support or sign language support into each WonderGrove animation is an industry first and adds context and understanding for younger viewers or individuals with intellectual disabilities. In addition, animated episodes are available in Spanish for support in dual language enrichment programs.
WonderGroveKids in all four of its manifestations (English, Spanish, Symbolstix and Signing Savvy) gives teachers more time to teach and parents more quality time with their children. When the instructional animations are used consistently, teachers and parents can enjoy more quality time and less time managing behaviors in and out of the classroom.
