Ocean Institute Appoints
New Director of Sales & Marketing
Dana Point, CALIF., April 1, 2009 –¬ The Ocean Institute’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Alyson Wenzel-Rosaler of Laguna Niguel has been appointed its new Director of Sales & Marketing. In this role, she manages a staff of seven to promote the Ocean Institute’s ocean science and maritime history programs.
Wenzel-Rosaler graduated from California State University San Marcos with a B.A. in Human Development. She first joined the Institute staff 10 years ago. Several of her family members work at the Institute, including husband Jeff who is relief captain on the Institute’s tall ship Spirit of Dana Point.
She remarked, “Working at the Institute is very rewarding. It gives us the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children.”

Founded in 1977, the Ocean Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to ocean preservation through education, setting the standard for educational excellence and serving as a leading resource for universities, museums, teachers and all others seeking to increase their knowledge of the ocean.
