AEC community coming together to benefit local charities fighting youth homelessness
Did you know that there is an estimated 27,000 homeless youth living in the Orange County area and an estimated 2,500 youth in the Orange County foster care system? Of the foster care kids, approximately 300 will age out of the foster care system program per year when they turn eighteen, and 25-50% of those kids will then become homeless.
On Friday, October 21, 2011, a number of Orange County Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) associations will come together to jointly host the AEC Masquerade Ball. Proceeds of the event will benefit StandUp for Kids, Orangewood Children’s Foundation and Olive Crest.
