Aging in Place Advisors launched this week with a new take on serving the 55+ community including senior social and home-health technologies, home improvements and simplifying the task of finding the right in-home care specialists.
Aging in Place Advisors founder and technology specialist Jeff McEachern says there are a multitude of technology options and services geared toward the 55+ community but few people to actually help select, implement and explain how to use these solutions.
He contends that providing senior-friendly technology tools along with aging-in-place home improvements will improve quality of life and create a safer environment so seniors can remain in their home for as long as possible.

Aging in Place Advisors technology services (available by phone consultation or in-home in Orange County) include:
- Wireless, home-based health systems that monitor and make vitals (blood pressure, glucose, etc.) available for family and/or healthcare providers.
- Automated medication reminders and dispensers.
- Systems to monitor activity and provide assistance in the event of an accident or fall.

Home improvement services are provided by Certified Aging in Place Specialists (CAPS™) and modifications may include enhanced lighting, bathroom and kitchen alterations and wider doorways to accommodate walkers or wheelchairs.
