ALISO LAGUNA NEWS: History and Ad Information
In 2006 Aliso Laguna News was formed as an independent community newspaper.
ALNews was designed to allow local schools, community and religious leaders
a place to publish their information and events. Places in the paper were
provided for “Good Works” kinds of stories. If your son got his Eagle Scout Award,
we wanted to write about it. If your church was having a festival open to the community
we wanted to notify everyone about the event. This is still the purpose of the paper.
As a selling point – ALNews was mailed to every residential and
business address in Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel and Aliso Viejo.
The publishers canvased all the shopping and business areas in those
three cities and nearby cities to meet business owners and learn about
their advertising needs. Ad sales would be used to print and mail the paper.
In October of 2008, Aliso Laguna News went “Green” and became exclusively an online
“Community Events Newspaper”. ALNews and Parent Company – Green Local News
posts articles, press releases, and advertisements for all interested in South Orange County
and many organizations and business in Southern California.
