City’s 10-year Celebration Dinner features food, fun

Aliso Viejo is gearing up for Friday’s 10-year Celebration Dinner, which will feature delectable fare, entertainment and fun for people of all ages.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of its July 1, 2001 incorporation, the city will celebrate this milestone with a luau-style affair from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Aliso Viejo Conference Center, 31 Santa Barbara.

The event will feature Polynesian-style food, drink and traditional and contemporary Hawaiian and Polynesian music with a live floor show by Le Polynesia Cultural Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are $25 for ages 13 and over; $15 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at City Hall, 12 Journey.

The Aliso Viejo Conference Center is located next to the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center and Aliso Viejo Country Club off Golf Drive and Glenwood.

Aquatic Center Birthday Bash Saturday

Residents are invited to celebrate Aliso Viejo’s 10th anniversary at a special Birthday Bash Saturday, July 2 at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center.

The party is from noon to 4 p.m. at 29 Santa Barbara. Guests will enjoy free activities and family games; contests; entertainment; and more along with 10 cent hot dogs, popcorn and ice cream, while supplies last. Admission is free.

The party follows a special 10-year Celebration Dinner that takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 1 at the Aliso Viejo Conference Center next door. Fourth of July fun at the pool

Spend the Fourth of July at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center and you’ll enjoy $3 entry, fun-filled free activities throughout the day and chef’s specials from the Oasis Cafe.

The City is gearing up for Independence Day, offering the public the perfect “in-town” holiday getaway.

The facility at 29 Santa Barbara will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature relay races and pool games; a hula hoop contest; and water balloon toss.

Guests to the Aquatic Center can enjoy recreation and lap swimming; pool parties; daily lunch specials at the Oasis Cafe; cabanas; and lots of fun activities. The popular venue offers fee-based swimming programs, a swim team, activities and more.

The Aquatic Center is conveniently located near Aliso Creek Road and Glenwood Drive, next to the Aliso Viejo Conference Center.

Fireworks will illuminate the Aliso Viejo sky

After enjoying the day at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center, head over to the Aliso Viejo Community Association’s annual July 4th bash.

The event is from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Grand Park in the Aliso Viejo Town Center on Aliso Creek Road.

It will feature live entertainment, bounce houses, face painting, carnival games, food for purchase and a spectacular fireworks show at dusk.
