
Aliso Viejo, CA – Aliso Viejo’s first independent Chamber of Commerce elected its Board of Directors on August 22nd and is officially open to new memberships. Julie Wright (center) was unanimously elected as the first president. This summer the organization’s steering committee filed the paperwork for 501(c)6 tax status, wrote bylaws, developed the web site, identified a banking partner, obtained a mailing address and created membership tiers.
Tickets ($20) are now on sale for a gala kick-off celebration on Saturday, September 29th at 6:30 pm. A Mayor’s Welcome and Reception will be followed by a concert at Soka Performing Arts Center featuring Grammy Award-winning flautist Nestor Torres and the Aliso Niguel High School Orchestra. Sponsors are CR&R Environmental Services, Doctor’s Ambulance Service, Gary Pritchard – Capistrano Unified School District, Renaissance ClubSport and Soka University.
