The public on Thursday, April 28 is invited to take part in the fourth of several workshops designed to provide the city with a framework for reducing Aliso Viejo’s carbon footprint.
The public workshop regarding the “Aliso Viejo Green City Initiative” will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 12 Journey.
The Aliso Viejo Green City Initiative will determine greenhouse gas emissions for existing municipal, residential and non-residential sectors in the city; will set reduction targets; will develop goals, policies and measures to decrease greenhouse gas emissions within the city; and will formulate strategies for adapting to climate change.
Thursday’s meeting will focus on land use and the growth and change of the community in the future.
The public’s involvement in the Aliso Viejo Green City Initiative is essential to making Aliso Viejo “greener” and benefiting the community as a whole.
