Elks Lodge Drug Awareness Event during Back to School Mall Shopping

Mission Viejo / Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge (“Elks Lodge”) distributed drug awareness and Americanism materials during back to school shopping at the Mission Viejo Mall.
As Adults and children crowded the Mission Viejo Mall shopping for back to school items, Elks Lodge members distributed more than 500 Drug Awareness pamphlets, “DARE” bracelets and pencils, more than 250 Americanism “About our Flag” pamphlets and an American Flag to young children, teenagers and adults at the Mission Viejo Mall. Elks Lodge members distributing the materials were President Jason Spence, First Lady Naomi Bickford (Rancho Santa Margarita) and Past President Gloria LeCouvre (Laguna Woods).
Jason Spence said, “Drug Awareness is a major emphasis program of the Elks. We are dedicated to helping parents as they lead their children to a healthy life by fully understanding the dangers of illegal drugs.”
The Mission Viejo / Saddleback Elks Lodge No. 2444, celebrating forty-three (43) years of service to the Saddleback Valley communities, is one of ten lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois. The BPOE is a charitable organization with a 145 year history of giving, “Elks Care, Elks Share.”
