BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: SEAWORLD SAN DIEGO’S ‘INSIDE LOOK’ BRINGS GUESTS BEHIND THE SCENES

Date:

During this exclusive experience that only SeaWorld can offer, visitors will see animals up close, meet the experts, and in some cases, go behind the scenes where they can learn about some of the world’s most amazing animals and get their questions answered from our team of animal care specialists. And it’s all included with park admission!

Inside Look will take place over the upcoming four weekends (Feb. 8–9, Feb. 15–17, Feb. 22–23 and Feb. 29–March 1). It includes tours of five animal areas in the park: Orca Encounter, the SeaWorld Animal Health and Rescue Center, the Humboldt penguin habitat, Dolphin Amphitheater, and Sea Lion and Otter Amphitheater. Guests will gain insider knowledge about the animals and those who have their Event Guide stamped at all five areas will receive a special SeaWorld collectable animal pin.

SeaWorld Inside Look Details:

  1. Orca Open House: During this all-new, unprecedented experience, guests will walk through the Orca Encounter skywalk, into the amphitheater itself, inside the fish house (where the orcas’ diets are prepared daily) and finally down to the underwater viewing to observe the new multi-species dynamic habitat — all the while learning about orca enrichment, husbandry, diet and exercise.
  2. Animal Health and Rescue Center: SeaWorld’s staff works tirelessly to ensure world-class animal care 24/7/365. During this tour, visitors will get a glimpse into all that hard work, witnessing firsthand where SeaWorld’s animal care experts and vets perform health examinations in the park’s state-of-the-art medical and rehabilitation facility.
  3. Humboldt Penguin: While cold-weather penguins may get all the attention, this experience teaches guests about a temperate-climate penguins species – the Humboldt penguin. Visitors to this habitat will find out how these penguins differ from their cold-weather countperparts, and how important they are to the Association of Zoos & Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan.
  4. Pilot Whale and Dolphin Presentation: SeaWorld is excited to highlight the newest members of the SeaWorld San Diego animal family at Dolphin Amphitheater: three rescued pilot whales and two baby dolphins. Visitors to this area will learn more about the inspiring, day-to-day care provided by experts to the whales and dolphins.
  5. Sea Lion Rescue Story: This all-new sea lion presentation underscores the story of SeaWorld’s animal rescue, rehabilitation and return program. Visitors will hear from animal care experts on how they give rescued sea lions and seals a second chance at life. Guests will also be introduced to a few rescued sea lions, deemed non-returnable to the wild by the National Marine Fisheries Service, who now thrive in SeaWorld’s care and serve as ambassadors for their counterparts in the wild.

A great way to enjoy SeaWorld San Diego all year long is with the Fun Card.  An incredible value, the Fun Card allows guests to pay for a day and get unlimited visits to the park for all of 2020.  With a Fun Card in hand, visitors can be among the first to experience California’s tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster, Emperor (opening this summer), as well as enjoy all the exciting seasonal events the park has to offer in 2020. For more information, visit www.SeaWorldSanDiego.com.
