BACKPACKS GALORE – Donated Backpacks bring joy to many in South Orange County

Date:

1063 backpacks were donated this year in a joint effort by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 794, and the Santa Ana Emblem Club #530, both in Santa Ana.  Individuals as well as groups within the Elks’ Lodge made donations of backpacks and donated sums to make this possible.  The Elks National Foundation also granted funds to be used for this effort.  217 of these backpacks were packed with school supplies.
