Big League Productions is thrilled to announce casting for the Segerstrom Center for the Arts engagement of GUYS AND DOLLS from April 14 – 19, 2015

Date:

Bustling with gamblers, gangsters and sassy showgirls, GUYS AND DOLLS introduces audiences to a cast of characters who have become legends in the musical theater world.

The national tour stars Christopher Swan as the infamous Nathan Detroit with Lauren Weinberg as his long-suffering fiancée of fourteen years, Miss Adelaide. The role of the slick, high-rolling gambler Sky Masterson is played by Matthew J. Taylor, and Kayleen Seidl plays Sarah Brown, the upright but uptight “mission doll,” out to reform the evil-doers of Times Square.

GUYS AND DOLLS celebrates Broadway’s golden era with one of the greatest scores ever written for a musical, penned by the legendary Frank Loesser. It features a masterfully witty book and lyrics by Joe Swerling and comedy legend Abe Burrows. Audiences will be immersed in Damon Runyon’s glorious comic book world of 1940s Times Square New York City.

Rounding out the cast of GUYS AND DOLLS is Todd Berkich, Mike McLean, Cliff Blake, John Galas, Jesse Graham, John Ryan, Dru Serkes, Nicolas Baumgartner, Skye Bronfenbrenner, Carlos Chang, Carissa Fiorillo, Kelly Green, Valton Jackson, Colin Lee, Brian Martin, Concetta Morabito, Nick Raynor, Gabriel Rodrigues, Maria Alexis Rodriguez, Mya Rose, Grant Snuffer, Michael C. Thatcher and Hilary Werthmann.

Single tickets start at $29 and may be purchased online at SCFTA.org, the Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa or by calling (714) 556-2787. For inquiries about group ticket savings for 10 or more, call the Group Services office at (714) 755-0236.

The TTY number is (714) 556-2746. The 2 p.m. performance on Saturday, April 18 will include audio description, open captioning and sign-language interpretation.

GUYS AND DOLLS originally took Broadway by storm in 1951, running for more than 1,200 performances, and was the winner of five Tony Awards® including Best New Musical. GUYS AND DOLLS starring Nathan Lane was gloriously revived in 1992 garnering four Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical.

The New York Times calls it “the show that defines Broadway dazzle!” Frank Loesser’s toe-tapping score, including fan favorites such as “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat” and “I’ve Never Been in Love Before” is the perfect musical complement to Runyon’s colorful characters. GUYS AND DOLLS is produced by Big League Productions.

Led by President and Executive Producer Daniel Sher, Big League is celebrating its 27 th season of producing, general managing and booking Broadway musicals and special attractions for touring throughout North America and the world.
