Dear Staff, Students, Parents, CVHS Feeder Schools, and Community Members:
It is with great pride that I announce incredible news for Capo Valley High School!! Today, I was officially notified that Capistrano Valley High School is now one of the top three winners in the Samsung Four Seasons of Hope technology giveaway contest! So, what this means is that Capo is now guaranteed to win either one of the First Prizes worth $50,000 or the Grand Prize worth $210,000 (see below for prize descriptions).
The winner will be announced in New York City on March 31st, and Samsung has invited me, the parent who wrote our nominating essay, Wendy Harder, our student body President, David Aguilar, and his parent chaperone to New York City (all expenses paid!) for the announcement of the Grand Prize winner. WOW!!
I want to thank each of you for your support and diligent on-line voting, which helped to make this dream a reality. Without your dedication and support, this incredible opportunity for our school would not have been possible. With a little continued luck, I think we will have good news from New York on March 31st.
