Aliso Viejo Police Services and the Aliso Viejo Family Resource Center are teaming up to host a child car seat education class on Dec. 8, in an effort to educate parents and caregivers about the importance of properly restraining children in vehicles.
The two-hour class will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at City Hall, 12 Journey. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m.
The class includes a free car seat distribution program for those on financial assistance.
Parents and caregivers must bring proof of vehicle insurance and income eligibility (such as Medi-Cal, AFDC, CalOptima) or be without medical insurance and not able to afford a car seat.
The County of Orange Health Care Agency is providing the child safety seats for the class.
