Mural, gift projects at mall reflects Boys & Girls Club members’ thoughts, creativity
Murals created by members of the Aliso Viejo Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley will soon be on display at the Disney Store in the Laguna Hills Mall, as part of a creative project in celebration of Earth Day.
Disney store “cast members” recently helped the kids create mini masterpieces based on Earth Day and what it means to them. The project will be featured in the display window of the Disney Store mid-month.
On April 28, the Boys & Girls Club members will get their creative juices flowing working with the JC Penney Department store on a similar engaging volunteer project that includes designing creative gifts in honor of Mother’s Day. The project takes place from 3 to 5 p.m. at the store located at 24200 Laguna Hills Mall, Laguna Hills.
The Aliso Viejo Boys & Girls Club, which is housed at the city’s Family Resource Center at Iglesia Park, provides kids with fun year-round activities and programs.
For more information about the club, contact Joel Rivera, branch director, at 949-699-2552 or e-mail jrivera@bgccapo.com.
