Christian Scientists in Laguna Beach have invited adults and children of the community to join them in starting their Thanksgiving Day in church. A special Thanksgiving service will be Thursday, Nov. 26, from 10 to 11 a.m. in First Church of Christ, Scientist, located at 635 High Drive, off North Pacific Coast Highway above Boat Canyon shopping center.
The service will include the singing of hymns of thanksgiving; readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, the founder and discoverer of Christian Science; and the sharing of gratitude. Also, following a long standing tradition, the President’s Thanksgiving Proclamation will be read.
Child care will be provided for children too young to attend. Ample free parking is available in church parking lots. All are welcome to attend this no-collection service. For further information, call the Christian Science Reading Room, (949) 494-4503.
