Christmas tree recycling starts Dec. 27

Date:

City Hall will be closed on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 for the holidays and will resume normal business activities on Dec. 27 and Jan. 3, respectively.

Essential city services including police and emergency maintenance will be unaffected by the holiday closures.

Christmas tree recycling starts Dec. 27 and will continue until Jan. 7, according to CR&R, the city’s waste hauler.

CR&R will collect trees curbside on regularly scheduled pickup days for recycling. Trees should only be placed curbside the night before or morning of pick up and should not block the right-of-way streets and sidewalks. Trees should be stripped of stands and all decorations including tinsel, lights and ornaments.

For more information about recycling services, call CR&R at 1-877-728-0446. Information about the City of Aliso Viejo is available by calling its main number at 949-425-2500 or online at www.cityofalisoviejo.com.
