City Council Declares Laguna Niguel A Rule of Law City

Date:

City Of Laguna Niguel

Council Members voted Tuesday night to adopt a Resolution declaring Laguna Niguel to be a “Rule of Law” city and not a “Sanctuary City.” By doing so, the Council declared its intent to continue to work with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department to fairly and equally enforce all laws within the City limits, including supporting the efforts of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to enforce federal immigration laws.

“Public safety has always been one of the top priorities for our City Council. Fair and equal enforcement of the law is essential to keeping Laguna Niguel one of the safest cities in Orange County.” said Council Member Robert Ming. “It is also important for us to recognize those who have gone through the process to come to this country legally.”
