Bicycle Safety Rodeo, Fair Saturday
The Aliso Viejo Police Services will host a Bicycle Safety Rodeo for children on Saturday, April 24 at the cul-de-sac near Iglesia Park, 24671 Via Iglesia.
The Bicycle Safety Rodeo is from 10 a.m. to noon and is part of the “Be Healthy Be Fit” fair at the Iglesia Park Community Center. The rodeo is designed to educate parents and children about the safety aspects of riding a bicycle on streets and roads.
The rodeo includes a fun bicycle course, helmet fitting provided by Police Services and more. Kids should bring their bicycles, helmets and the whole family to the free event.
After visiting the Bicycle Safety Rodeo, be sure to head over to the Health and Fitness Fair. In honor of Aliso Viejo’s celebration of the Year of the Youth, the city and Aliso Viejo branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley will host the “Be Healthy Be Fit” fair from 1 to 4 p.m.
The free fair will feature blood pressure screening by Saddleback Memorial Care; and water safety and earthquake and emergency preparedness information from the Orange County Fire Authority. Visitors to the family event will also learn about “eating the right foods” from the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
