Community members on Oct. 20 are invited to take part in the ninth of several workshops designed to implement sustainable living practices into everyday City life. The “Aliso Viejo Green City Initiative” workshop is at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Aliso Viejo City Hall, 12 Journey. The goal of the Aliso Viejo Green City Initiative is to increase energy efficiency, reduce energy and water consumption and reduce waste stream flow. The meeting continues the fall series of workshops that focus on “implementation strategies” for incorporating sustainable living practices into part of our daily lives. The discussion will center on waste management and recycling. Public education and outreach is a major component of the effort, and the public’s involvement in the Aliso Viejo Green City Initiative is essential to making Aliso Viejo even “greener.” For more information, contact Bruce Cook at greencityinfo@cityofalisoviejo.com or 949-425-2591. Information about the initiative is also available on the city’s website at www.cityofalisoviejo.com. |
