Bill Knauer
is the Cove Gallery’s
featured “Artist of the Month”
for March 2016
Bill photographs scenes throughout the U.S., Europe, and Russia. His acrylic paintings interpret his photos.
Originally painting in oils, he now focuses on acrylic impressionistic techniques. His expanding style comes from over 1000 hours of continuous workshop participation.
Bill also studies art throughout U.S. and European galleries and museums, including the Hermitage, Louvre, Georges Pompidou, Musee d’ Orsee, El Prado, Thyssen, and Getty.
Paintings emphasize use of bolder, vibrant colors, highlighting shadows of morning and late afternoon sun. Bill’s goal is to capture the warmth, antiquity, and beauty of U.S. and European life.
Bill accepts commission work on a limited basis.
