Community to recognize hometown Olympian Sunday

The city of Aliso Viejo and the Aliso Viejo Community Association (AVCA) will recognize Olympian Kyla Ross on Sunday during AVCA’s summer concert at Grand Park.

Ross, an Aliso Viejo resident, is a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team known as the “Fierce Five.” She will be recognized by AVCA at 5:30 p.m. just before the concert starts.

At 6:30 p.m., the city will then honor the young Olympian in a “never-before” city recognition folks won’t want to miss.

The fun-filled summer concert will feature Stone Soul, which will rock the Town Center Amphitheater with ’60s Motown music until 7:30 p.m.

Guests should bring chairs and blankets.  For more information, visit www.avca.net.
