“Cooking Jewish” Cookbook Author Judy Bart Kancigor to Share Family Recipes at the Festival of Arts
Art of Cooking Series Continues on July 20 from 1 – 2pm
The Art of Cooking series at the Festival of Arts continues with cookbook author Judy Bart Kancigor on Sunday, July 20 from 1 – 2pm. She will demonstrate step-by-step some of her favorite family recipes from her cookbook “Cooking Jewish” and share samples of her finished creations with the audience.
Judy Bart Kancigor is the food editor of Orange County Jewish Lifemagazine, a columnist and feature writer for the Orange County Registerand other publications, and a popular teacher of Jewish cooking and family life who has appeared at synagogues, churches, women’s organizations and cooking schools throughout the country.
Her cookbook, “Cooking Jewish: 532 Great Recipes from the Rabinowitz Family,” published by Workman, chronicles five generations of her family through its recipes, photos and stories, inviting the reader not just into the kitchen, but into a vibrant world of family and friends.
“Judy’s recipes are all about food and family,” said Susan Davis, director of special events for the Festival of Arts. “Many of her recipes have been passed down from generation to generation and we’re honored that she’ll be sharing them with us!”
Foodies rejoice every Sunday from 1 – 2pm at the Festival of Arts “Art of Cooking” series. Every Sunday between July 13 and August 24, this special event series takes place in the Festival Art Center and is free with Festival admission
