Several sponsors are on board for the 9th Annual Aliso Viejo Community Cup – including Title Sponsor Cox Communications and Ace Sponsor CR&R – but there’s still room for more golfers to participate in the event that will benefit community teens.
The Aliso Viejo Community Cup takes place on Friday, June 8 at the Aliso Viejo Country Club, 33 Santa Barbara. The event kicks off at 11 a.m., with registration and activities starting at 9 a.m. The fun and competitive golf tournament includes a banquet, awards, opportunity drawings/auction and more. Several “on-the-course” contests are also on par.
A host of organizations have signed on to sponsor and participate in the popular tournament including Double Eagle Sponsor Charles Abbott Associates, Inc. and PV Maintenance; Eagle Sponsors Bagels & Brew, Best Best & Krieger Attorneys at Law, Fluor Corporation, Parker Properties – The Summit Office Campus, Partners Bank of California, Professional Community Management (PCM), Renaissance ClubSport, Shea Homes and QLogic; and Birdie Sponsors APA Engineering, Inc. and Tuttle-Click, Inc. Net proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Aliso Viejo Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley’s Keystone Leadership Teen Program. The program focuses on leadership, education, career development, economic/political awareness and social recreation elements that are crucial to pointing teens into a positive direction. Proceeds will also benefit the Aliso Viejo Community Foundation’s (AVCF) scholarship program for Aliso Viejo students. To support military personnel, this year AVCF and the Boys and Girls Club have partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project to offer opportunities for US Marines and wounded warriors to play in the tournament. Folks who cannot play in the tournament this year are encouraged to consider sponsoring our military heroes. The individual golfer fee is $250 and includes a gift certificate to the TaylorMade/Adidas onsite store, continental breakfast, box lunch, on-course snacks and beverages, and a banquet dinner. Golfers will be entertained throughout the course by Pin Up Golf. The Aliso Viejo Country Club is located next to the Aliso Viejo Conference Center and Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center. The facilities are conveniently located off Glenwood at Golf Drive between Moulton Parkway and Aliso Creek Road.
