Boys & Girls Clubs of Laguna Beach

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Laguna Beach joined over 100 lucky South Orange County Boys & Girls Club members and their families at the Annual Cox Connects Day carnival held Saturday, October 23rd. At Cox, they believe in giving back and this year they pulled out all the stops to create a fun-filled good time.
Set-up at the Cox headquarters in beautiful Rancho Santa Margarita, the children enjoyed a Halloween themed carnival with everything a carnival could possibly offer; classic Mid-Way games, incredible-bounce house obstacle courses, sumo suit wrestling, a mummy wrap contest, puppet show, unicyclist, all you could eat popcorn, cotton candy and Trick-or-Treating. A delicious and healthy lunch was also provided courtesy of Baja Fresh! Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach-TLC Branch Club member Eric Silva said he loved holding and petting the snakes, tortoise and komodo dragon in the reptile petting zoo the most!

The phenomenal team of friendly Cox employees helped the Club Staff appreciate a day of pure fun and helped the children appreciate the art of pure giving. The Cox team presented the Boys & Girls Clubs with a generous check of $2,000 from funds they raised while holding fundraisers during the year. Cox is passionate about helping our communities through philanthropy- with a critical focus on youth and education. Charitable giving, renders support to organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Orange County which heavily focuses on youth development. We thank the wonderful people at Cox Communications who made this event possible.

“Cox definitely cares!” The Boys & Girls Clubs of Laguna Beach provides engaging and enriching after school and summer programs that help build character, creativity, academic success, healthy behaviors and teamwork in young people. The annual Club membership fee is only $150. The Club serves 5-18 year olds from Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Dana Point, and the surrounding communities. Scholarships are available.
