Crown Valley Reports On Teachers Strike

Date:

Good Morning Crown Valley families,

Things have gone very smoothly at Crown Valley this morning. Our teachers and substitute teachers checked in and students have all been assigned a classroom. Some classes were collapsed due to the number of students. However, all children are working on curriculum based assignments. Most classrooms are completing reading and writing assignments at this point. This morning, I spoke to the students about bullying. We watched a short movie called Andrew Lee, Bully Free. Anti-bullying instruction is one of CUSD’s major district objectives. Should the teachers’ strike continue into tomorrow, we will meet as usual on the blacktop for the Flag Salute. As more information becomes available, I will pass it on via listserv messages.

The students are well behaved and respectful. I am always amazed at resiliency of children and the caliber of the students at Crown Valley.

Thank you to the Crown Valley community for your support!

Anthony Bogle
Principal
Crown Valley Elementary School
