Dear Friends & Families!

Wow! We at CSS are overwhelmed with the number of kids that want to participate in the CSS Summer Leadership CIT & Junior Counselor Program. How lucky are we that so many bright young kids want to give back by becoming a CSS Camp Counselor or CIT.

There are several levels of leadership! Counselors (18 +) Junior Counselors (15 – 18) and CIT’s (Ages 13 – 15)

What’s a CIT

Counselor In Training
The CSS Counselor In Training (CIT) program is designed for CSS camp & class graduates looking for an opportunity to strengthen & practice their leadership skills while having fun in the Performing Arts Arena! This is a volunteer position.

There are multiple levels for CIT’s to achieve before moving in to the Junior Counselor Program. Thier first year CITs play the role of camper buddies; knowing the routine, CITs are able to help new campers feel comfortable, make friends, and most of all have fun! Through the second and third year CITs take on more responsibilities including assisting directors with lessons, facilitating games, and mentoring younger CITs.

Once a CIT turns 15 yrs. old they are welcome to apply to our Junior Counselor Program, to prepare to move into the role of a Camp Counselor when they are 18.

What’s Junior Counselor?

CSS Junior Counselor

The CSS Junior Counselor Program was created for our older campers and CIT alumni to have a chance to see what life as a counselor is like in further detail. CIT’s who present themselves as having the ability to be a part of a team, demonstrate leadership potential, and show a desire to learn more about the world of performing arts education will have the chance to become a Junior Counselor! This is a volunteer position.

When Junior Counselors become 18 than can apply for a position as a CSS Camp Counselor for the summer. What a wonderful way to spend your summer doing what you love while being a significant part of a life-long camper memory.

How Do I apply?

Joining the Team!

Please click on the link below to download the CSS Summer Car mp CIT and Junior Counsel Application.

Fill out the application and email or fax to the Studio. We will then set up a time on Wednesday May 30, or June 2 for interviews.

Once you have been accepted (not all applicants are accepted) Attend the mandatory CIT, Junior Counselor and Camp Directors Meetings either on Thursday May 31 or Wednesday June 6th.
